How Faith in Action Started

Faith in Action was born from one woman’s journey—a story of survival, redemption, and healing through unwavering faith in God. Her life became proof that even the deepest wounds can become vessels of hope when surrendered to His hands.

I found myself standing in the very places where sex trafficking was happening right before my eyes. The girls were so young—far younger than I had imagined. Seeing them shattered me. My spirit was crushed, and even my body felt the weight of it. I became physically ill, waking up with what felt like a hangover from grief and pain. And then, a thought of fear crept into my mind:

"Now the whole world will know what I used to be. I was one of those girls."

But in that moment, God spoke to me in the sweetest voice:

"There is nothing to hide anymore. There is nothing to fear. You are with Me."

Breakthrough Stories

Real voices. Real change.

Claire

“Even if I’m alone, I don’t have anything or anyone, I know that God is there and He completes me. When there’s pain, He heals me. Many people say that I am such a happy and joyful person.

I always say that it’s God’s joy in me. I’m here right now because God saved me. He fixed me. He’s the one that makes me strong and steadfast. He shows me His heart of compassion. And I want to please and honor Him. This is why I am joyful.”

Rosalie

“I don’t want them to experience what I had to go through, especially my children. I also promised my father that when I graduate, I will help put my siblings through school. I want to fulfill that promise.

Sometimes I cry and feel pain, but when I remember that God is here with me, I feel His peace. For many years, I tried to commit suicide. But every single time I would try, I would hear an angel’s voice say, ‘Don’t do it. Remember your children. They need you. Your life is valuable. You are valuable.

My life is amazing now, unlike before. There would be days when problems were just drowning me and it felt like the world was going collapse. But now, I’m so happy and thankful. I’m free from all of that. It’s all because of Jesus. He became my sponsor and He doesn’t ask for anything in return. That’s how much He loves me.”

Jona

Starting anew was difficult for Jona. She struggled to become free of her former self, beliefs, and habits. But through God’s transforming love and grace, Jona began to hope again. She started dreaming of a brand new future, working hard in school, and striving to be a better person in Jesus.

Now, though her tattoos make her stand out from other teachers, Jona is believing that she will still find a teaching job as she finishes her degree in Education. Jona now has hope, freedom, and future in Christ. She now has the heart and the spirit to reach for greater things. She believes that this decision, of all the life-changing decisions she has made, is the best so far. Jona chose to break free.

Janet

Today, Janet is twenty-nine and full of life. She is filled with much joy when she speaks of God’s transformative presence in her life. Janet has learned to love deeply, be patient, practice understanding, and value obedience. When she looks back upon her old life, Janet finds it hard to believe that she ever lived that way.

Janet also desires to help women like her mother and herself. She desires to inspire and encourage other women to become the best they can be. Janet understands the love God has for her and how He sees her, and this love propels her to help others find their value in God too. Janet, along with a number of other women in our care, has come from a dark place but now holds fast to her hope in Jesus as she steps into the destiny God has prepared for her.
